Many people assume that eating gluten free means eating nothing but salads. That is so far from the truth, at least it is for me.
Besides gluten, most salad dressings also contain dairy, soy or vinegar all of which is hard for me to digest. Honestly, I didn’t eat salads for years due to the lack of options.
One day I randomly tweaked a marinade and found it to taste great. It tastes like a melted crouton. I can now enjoy eating salads. I love having another delicious choice that is quick & easy.
1/4 C extra virgin olive oil
1/4 C Coconut Secret coco aminos
1/4 C pure maple syrup
2 T fresh lime juice
2 t garlic powder
2 t onion powder
1 t Real Redmond salt
1/2 t McCormick black pepper
Drizzle atop your favorite salad.
I like to add red onion, cucumbers, bacon pieces, turkey slices or chopped chicken to my salad. And some crunched up crackers for added texture.
